World Wide Packaging Announces Expanded In-House Capabilities for Cosmetic Tubes

FLORHAM PARK, NJ World Wide Packaging, LLC, a leading provider of cosmetic packaging components, is adding several new machines to expand its capabilities for its plastic tube division, announced Barry Freda, President of World Wide Packaging.

The expansion includes:

  • A new, state of the art, five-layer coex extruder line for improved tube shape and greater consistency.
  • The addition of two six-color, inline silk screening machines in response to the success of WWP’s original six-color silk screening machine, which is currently printing over 20,000,000 tubes for a leading global cosmetic company. A second machine will added by late 2008 and a third will be in place early in 2009.
  • The installation of three injection machines to produce tube closures in-house. This is in addition to seven injection machines that were installed in 2007.

“World Wide Packaging’s plastic tubes division has been growing by over 40% per year,” said Mr. Freda. “We needed to make an investment in additional machines to keep up with the growing demand for our products. Our increased capabilities will also ensure our reputation continues as the industry leader in tube innovations.”
